Petal type: Red shell green flower lotus petal
History: Originally selected in 1924 by Cao Ziyu and Rong Wenqing of Wuxi, and named Cao Rong Dahe at that time. In 1938, Rong Wenqing gave the only two remaining small plants to Mr. Shen Yuanru of Wuxi for cultivation. After 22 years of meticulous care, they gradually recovered and thrived. In 1946, when the War of Resistance Against Japan was won, a flower bud appeared and bloomed in full spring. Seizing this opportune moment, and to celebrate the motherland seeing the light again, Shen Yuanru specially gathered fellow orchid enthusiasts to hold an orchid exhibition at the Tonggeng Hall in Wuxi Park, where it was renamed "Shengli Dahe" on the spot to express his patriotic heart.
Characteristics: The five petals are short, broad and large in width, green in color, with a large rolled tongue. The leaves are broad and thick, forming an arch shape. It is an outstanding modern red Cymbidium faberi lotus petal variety.
