Golden Tri-Star is a relatively new variety of the Rui Die type of Cymbidium goeringii, a native species from Guizhou. This flower was selected and cultivated in 2001 by renowned Sichuan orchid growers Mr. Chen Jiwu and Mr. Yi Zunyun. A new-and-old variety of Sichuan Cymbidium goeringii - Golden Tri-Star. This variety originates from Guizhou and is scarce in quantity.
In 2001 it was selected and cultivated by renowned Sichuan orchid growers Mr. Chen Jiwu and Mr. Yi Zunyun. It was later promoted by my father, Mr. Zhou Zejun.
This variety blooms stably and is a true Tri-Star. When it first opens, the color is yellow with a slight tinge of green; the green then fades, and the color becomes golden yellow.
The flowers are large and rise above the foliage, with a pure fragrance. The leaves are elegant and graceful, and it sometimes produces leaf buds.
