This flower was collected in 2002 from Mengzi, Yunnan, with a total of 16 seedlings at the time, bearing more than 20 flowers, each with consistent petal shape and color. It was purchased by Mr. Wu Zhisheng, a Honghe orchid grower. After years of stable reblooming, it was subsequently introduced and cultivated by orchid enthusiasts in Mile, Yuxi, Kunming, and Shiping. Plant height 30-60CM, leaf width 0.5-1CM, leaf count 4-6, upright and slightly arching, leaf color slightly green, new shoots emerging with red crystal, particularly strong seedlings will produce leaf butterflies. This plant is robust and easy to grow, blooming in late winter and early spring. The flower scape is 30CM tall and stands above the leaves. The flower opens as a proper three-star, with brilliant red color, large blotches, emulsified inner petals, strong contrast, and a grand flower. The column has degenerated and become smaller. It is an excellent example among three-star butterflies, but the flower is not fragrant.
