Introduction to the Cymbidium 'Xianhe Su' Variety and Key Planting and Care Points

A new flower from the mountains of Zhejiang, a pure-hearted type called Xianhe Su (Crane Pure). It has single-character shoulders, strong substance, and blooms beautifully. The petals are neatly formed, the lip is white, and the sepals are emerald green; with level shoulders it looks especially spirited. Unfortunately, the lip curls as soon as it first opens, which is a shortcoming, but overall it still has quite a lot of charm. It has now been in bloom for 22 days, and during that time it was watered heavily twice; compared with when it first opened, apart from the flower stem growing a bit taller, the flower shape has barely changed at all, still just as full of vigor. It seems the legend that this flower holds its shape for twenty days in bloom is true.
