July 17, 2015 Changes in the Wholesale Price Index for Agricultural Products Compared with Yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on July 17 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 204.49, down 0.43 points from yesterday, of which the “shopping basket” products wholesale price index was 205.95, down 0.38 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural products wholesale markets was 22.39 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 178.06), up 0.4% from yesterday;

Beef was 53.58 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday;

Mutton was 48.08 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday;

Eggs were 7.11 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken was 14.80 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.53 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 222.05), up 0.3% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.64 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.73 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Common carp was 13.52 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Silver carp was 7.01 yuan/kg, up 2.2% from yesterday;

Large hairtail was 27.89 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: cabbage, white radish, watermelon, green pepper and silver carp, with increases of 2.8%, 2.5%, 2.3%, 2.2% and 2.2% respectively; the top five price decreases were: Ya pear, shiitake mushroom, cauliflower, rapeseed and pumpkin, with decreases of 2.6%, 2.3%, 2.2%, 2.2% and 1.5% respectively.
