This pot of orchid has four seedlings in total. The orchid leaves are slender and graceful, and the flower spikes are delicate and small. Its owner, Mr. Shui, said that the rarity of this pot of orchid lies in the fact that its petals are round.
It is understood that this "Datuiyuan" variety was dug from the mountains by a farmer. In March 2004, at an orchid trade fair in Pixian, Mr. Shui bought this orchid for 170,000 yuan and cultivated it carefully. What was exhibited yesterday was its 5th generation.
Mr. Shui is a professional orchid grower in You'ai Town, Pixian. He said that someone has already offered 3 million yuan per seedling to buy this orchid, which means this pot of 4 seedlings is worth 12 million yuan in total. Previously, he sold two seedlings of the same orchid variety to a buyer from Dali for 5.6 million yuan.
