National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index rises and falls on July 23, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on July 23 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 205.59, up 0.31 points from yesterday, of which the “Basket of Vegetables and Other Food Products” Wholesale Price Index was 207.41, up 0.61 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at the national agricultural products wholesale market was 22.93 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 178.92), down 0.2% from yesterday;

Beef was 54.17 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday;

Mutton was 48.23 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday;

Eggs were 7.23 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken was 14.72 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.56 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 222.56), up 1.1% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.60 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.90 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday;

Common carp was 13.53 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday;

Silver carp was 7.13 yuan/kg, down 1.0% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail was 27.88 yuan/kg, basically flat compared with yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at the domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale market, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: onion, garlic sprouts, Welsh onion, garlic and bighead carp, with increases of 3.9%, 3.4%, 3.3%, 3.0% and 3.0% respectively; the top five price decreases were: watermelon, rapeseed greens, Chinese cabbage, winter melon and tomato, with decreases of 2.2%, 1.8%, 1.4%, 1.3% and 1.2% respectively.
