02. Leaves turning yellow, new shoots small: excessive light, lack of nitrogen fertilizer or insufficient humidity.

03. Old leaves yellowing and dropping: normal aging and natural shedding, or improper repotting.

04. Tips of new leaves scorched: excessive fertilizer or pesticide, or unclean potting medium.

05. Both new and old leaves with scorched tips: excessive damp heat inside the pot, rotten roots among the root system or too few orchid roots, substandard potting medium.

06. New shoots rotting: unclean potting medium, too many bacteria causing shoot rot.

07. Scorch spots on leaves with no yellow rim: scorch spots from intense sunlight.

08. Yellow-brown spots on leaves: caused by overheating of the roots.

09. Spots on leaves with water-soaked rims: excessive moisture inside the pot, excessive air humidity, incomplete environmental disinfection, or leaf rot disease; poor ventilation and air circulation.

10. Irregular yellow spots on leaves, leaf tissue necrotic and sunken: viral disease, also known as “Baylas”.

11. Small yellow spots on leaves: caused by scale insects or red spider mites.

12. Purple-black discoloration on the leaf surface while the underside remains green: caused by low-temperature frost. Can also occur with phosphorus deficiency.

13. Leaves dehydrated, pseudobulbs shriveled: caused by prolonged excessive dryness and dehydration inside the pot.

14. Leaves dry up from the leaf node and break off at the node, leaf tips still green but dehydrated, pseudobulb can still sprout shoots the following year: severe water shortage during the growing period
