Characteristics of the Xinwentuan Su Chunlan variety and its care methods

Differences between Xinwentuan Su and Laowentuan:

Leaf differences: Xin: leaf posture slanting upright, leaf texture hard, leaf base slightly wide, outer petals more narrow and flat, triangular shoulders, flowers not held above the leaves, often pressing against the top. Lao: 30cm long, maximum up to 40cm, 1-1.2cm wide, leaf posture curved and drooping, old leaves arching, leaf tips sharp, leaf texture good flexibility, leaves thin, base tapering finely, with leaf grooves, leaf color dark green. New shoot sheaths pure green, fine white rice-grain dots visible at the sheath tip, sheath shape short and sturdy, foot sheaths low. 

Flower buds: light green with dark green veins, the close-fitting bud sheath white-green with green veins reaching the top, vein spacing wide, tip green. 

Flower quality: flower scape light green, level with or above the leaves, the three outer petals with contracted bases and flared corners, belonging to the narrow-petal lotus form, slightly crimped edges, the two lateral sepals forming a straight shoulder, the two edges at the base of the sepals slightly recurved, the main petal broad and tall-upright, scissors-shaped feng (petals), flower color pale green, snow-white rolled tongue. Flower shapeslightly large, plain and elegant, noble and pure, occasionally opening with flying shoulders. Prone to opening a skylight is its shortcoming.
