The cultivation method for Oncidium is simple, and even beginners can easily learn it
There are already several articles on the website about Oncidium care. The reason I put this one together is that it is relatively simple and more suitable for beginner flower growers to refer to. I hope this simple Oncidium cultivation method is helpful to flower lovers!

1. The growing medium is sphagnum moss, with some bark, stones, and the like in the lower part of the bottle. The key point is that the lower part must have gaps and a somewhat larger hollow cavity. This can form a relatively humid, stable micro-environment, which is good for the growth of the aerial roots of this type of orchid.
2. The water level in the water-holding bottle should not be too high; it is enough for the water to slowly reach the cap of the upper bottle. (The cap has holes punched in it.) Generally, replenishing this water every 2 months is enough, and it does not matter if the water is occasionally low. It is enough for the bottom of the upper bottle to remain moist.
3. Normally almost no fertilizer is applied; place one slow-release fertilizer granule in the water-holding bottle every 3-4 months.
4. Normally just place it inside a south-facing balcony, in diffused light.
I feel that for this type of tropical orchid, as long as you set up a suitable method and environment, the less you move it and the less you interfere, the better it grows. Plants will adapt themselves; often, they are killed by not leaving well enough alone.
