The Siming Mountain Range is the main producing area for Zhejiang eastern Cymbidium goeringii and Cymbidium faberi, rich in resources, and many traditional famous varieties of Jiangsu and Zhejiang come from this mountain range. Not long after going up the mountain, they found a clump of Cymbidium goeringii with a plump flower bud; when peeled open, it was a lotus-petal type, which was delightful. They dug it up and there were 5 plants in total, owned jointly by the two, but they decided that Wang Hongkang would grow and cultivate it.

At the 2012 Yuyao 12th Cymbidium Exhibition, among the gold award new flowers, King's Lotus caught people's eyes. The flower shape is dignified and generous, with a kingly air, giving a strong visual impact.
