Rose Enchantress is a variety of Jianlan (Cymbidium ensifolium).
The Four Seasons Orchid Rose Enchantress was selected and bred in the early part of this century by a Mr. Hu, an orchid enthusiast from Yangang, Emei, and is a fine peach-pink-flowered orchid produced in Sichuan. This variety has short, small leaves with a blunt, fish-belly-shaped tip, and its flower scape rises well above the foliage; regardless of the potting medium or the intensity of light, it can still put on a good display. The flower color is tender pink, vivid, bright and lustrous, most pleasing to the eye. Its greatest highlight is the large lip with tightly wrapped edges, and the scape, pedicels and petals are all of one uniform color inside and out, very eye-catching. It is truly a superb and exquisite colored-flower Four Seasons orchid produced in Sichuan.
