"Guangming Dian" is a yellow-flowered fine-leaf Cymbidium kanran (cold orchid), discovered in the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian and obtained from orchid enthusiast Li Qiusheng. The actual flowers, buds, and petals are pure as ice and jade, crystal clear, delicate and warm; it won the Special Gold Award at the 2017 Yongjia Cymbidium kanran Exhibition. Named by Jiaqi, quoting a line from the Buddhist scripture "Tathagata Great Brightness Sutra": "If life truly relies on its own nature, it returns to the source of great light..."

The actual flowers, buds, and petals are pure as ice and jade, crystal clear, delicate and warm; it won the Special Gold Award at the 2017 Yongjia Cymbidium kanran Exhibition. After the exhibition, Qingxiang Garden divided off one plant of "Guangming Dian" for teacher Zhang Zhangxi to take back to Qingyi Ju in Hangzhou for cultivation. Named by Jiaqi, quoting a line from the Buddhist scripture "Tathagata Great Brightness Sutra": "If life truly relies on its own nature, it returns to the source of great brightness," with the addition of the character "Dian" (hall) to convey respect and nobility; in the presence of an elegant and timeless flower, one should feel reverence, seeing the flower as one sees the person.
