China's modern logistics system for Chinese medicinal materials is expected to be completed by 2020
At the beginning of this year, the General Office of the Ministry of Commerce issued the "Notice on Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a Modern Logistics System for Chinese Medicinal Materials," proposing that by 2020, a modern logistics system for Chinese medicinal materials integrating harvesting, origin processing, packaging, warehousing and transportation should be initially formed, basically meeting the logistics needs of specialized markets and e-commerce transactions for Chinese medicinal materials, and basically adapting to the requirements of the development of traditional Chinese medicine and the people's growing health needs.
An official from the Department of Market Order of the Ministry of Commerce introduced that at present, the logistics situation of Chinese medicinal materials in China is more backward than that of industrial consumer goods and other agricultural products, and problems such as the lack of standards and specifications for packaging, the scattered state of warehousing and logistics, the very low degree of intensification and scale, and the rare application of modern storage facilities and technologies have seriously affected the quality of Chinese medicinal materials as well as the sustained and healthy development of China's traditional Chinese medicine industry.
According to the introduction, in order to accelerate the construction of a modern logistics system for Chinese medicinal materials, the Ministry of Commerce has set five specific goals:
⟦NL> First, basically establish a standards system for the logistics of Chinese medicinal materials.
Second, basically complete the logistics infrastructure and distribution network with the main production and marketing areas of Chinese medicinal materials as circulation nodes, and realize centralized warehousing of bulk Chinese medicinal materials as well as precious and fine, toxic, narcotic and restricted Chinese medicinal materials.
Third, logistics informatization management technology and new preservation technologies for Chinese medicinal materials should be widely applied.
Fourth, the circulation traceability system should fully play its role.
Fifth, create a favorable market environment so that the comprehensive strength of large and medium-sized Chinese medicinal materials logistics enterprises is significantly enhanced.
The main tasks of building a modern logistics system for Chinese medicinal materials are six:
First, build origin processing bases for Chinese medicinal materials. Realize intensive and large-scale processing, and gradually change traditional processing methods.
Second, standardize the packaging of Chinese medicinal materials. Guide medicinal herb farmers and specialized cooperatives for Chinese medicinal materials to implement unified and standardized packaging, and effectively change the chaotic situation of Chinese medicinal materials packaging.
Third, build a centralized warehousing and distribution network. Encourage the construction of standardized and socialized Chinese medicinal materials warehousing bases with a layout centered on major production areas of bulk Chinese medicinal materials and specialized markets for Chinese medicinal materials, as well as a nationwide, intensive and efficient Chinese medicinal materials warehousing and distribution system.
Fourth, promote the application of modern logistics management and technology. Improve the mechanization, informatization and specialization level of Chinese medicinal materials logistics.
Fifth, improve the supporting logistics service functions of specialized markets for Chinese medicinal materials.
Sixth, make Chinese medicinal materials warehousing and logistics enterprises stronger and larger.
