August 25, 2015 "National Agricultural Product Wholesale Price Index" compared with yesterday

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on August 25 the “National Agricultural Product Wholesale Price Index” was 215.30, up 1.37 points from yesterday, of which the “Shopping Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 218.97, up 2.04 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at the National Agricultural Product Wholesale Market was 24.76 yuan/kg (pork wholesale price index 184.79), up 0.6% from yesterday;

Beef 54.11 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from yesterday;

Mutton 48.34 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday;

Eggs 9.10 yuan/kg, up 1.1% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 15.03 yuan/kg, up 1.6% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.92 yuan/kg (vegetable wholesale price index 251.02), up 1.6% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.31 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 15.18 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

Grass carp 13.08 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.10 yuan/kg, down 1.7% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 28.36 yuan/kg, up 1.8% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties monitored at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: lettuce, pumpkin, green pepper, watermelon and spinach, with increases of 7.9%, 6.9%, 6.1%, 5.6% and 4.9% respectively; the top five price decreases were: celtuce, oyster mushroom, Kyoho grape, silver carp and lotus root, with decreases of 4.8%, 2.8%, 2.1%, 1.7% and 1.4% respectively.
