Our newspaper reports, Reporter Zhang Yuan: “Support for the cooperative industry chain should be increased.” While the report on stabilizing and improving rural land contract relations was reviewed in group discussions, Fu Huating, a deputy to the National People's Congress attending the meeting as a non-voting participant, made this suggestion.

Fu Huating said that cooperatives can drive the economy of an area, drive a village, and may even drive a township or half a county. When farmers transfer their land to cooperatives, the cooperatives then carry out purchasing and processing, build it into an industry, and then develop deep processing of agricultural products, connecting with the market and forming a complete industrial chain. In this way, farmers have prospects and do not need to go to the city to work. Cooperatives have people leading the way to invest, putting in money as shareholders, and the labor force can also earn money and even receive dividends. Therefore, support for cooperatives and industrial chains should be increased, and industrialization should be pursued. Only by taking this path can farmers' incomes be raised and the quality of agricultural products be improved. Especially in terms of agricultural infrastructure, relying on individual households to dig wells for drought resistance is not effective; large-scale mechanical water conservancy must be developed.

Fu Huating stressed that only by getting cooperatives going, getting the cooperative economy going, and getting family farms going, with multiple forms developing together, can China's agriculture develop faster.
