According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on August 31 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 214.11, down 1.51 points from last Friday, among which the “Shopping Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 217.38, down 1.82 points from last Friday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural products wholesale market was 24.77 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 184.57), down 0.8% from last Friday;

Beef 53.64 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from last Friday;

Mutton 47.54 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from last Friday;

Eggs 9.20 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from last Friday;

Dressed chicken 14.75 yuan/kg, down 1.1% from last Friday.

The average price of the 28 vegetables under key monitoring was 3.85 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 250.05), down 0.8% from last Friday;

The average price of the 7 fruits under key monitoring was 5.08 yuan/kg, down 1.7% from last Friday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.98 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from last Friday;

Common carp 13.01 yuan/kg, down 1.2% from last Friday;

Silver carp 7.09 yuan/kg, down 1.7% from last Friday;

Largehead hairtail 29.00 yuan/kg, up 1.3% from last Friday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring in the domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale market, compared with last Friday, the top five price increases were: lettuce, carrot, tomato, large yellow croaker and winter melon, with increases of 4.3%, 3.9%, 3.0%, 2.9% and 2.0% respectively; the top five price decreases were: cucumber, ya pear, ginger, zucchini and spinach, with decreases of 5.3%, 5.3%, 5.1%, 4.2% and 4.0% respectively.
