The 18th China Agricultural Products Processing Industry Investment and Trade Fair Achieves Fruitful Results
From September 6 to 8, the 18th China Agricultural Products Processing Industry Investment and Trade Fair (abbreviated as "China Agricultural Processing Fair") was successfully held in Zhumadian City, Henan Province. Vice Minister of Agriculture Chen Xiaohua emphasized at the meeting that it is necessary to vigorously promote the development of the agricultural products processing industry, push forward the integration of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries in rural areas, and provide strong support for making agriculture stronger, rural areas more beautiful, and farmers richer.
Chen Xiaohua pointed out that the agricultural products processing industry is an important symbol of agricultural modernization. In recent years, China's agricultural products processing industry has continued to develop steadily, becoming an important pillar industry and livelihood industry with wide industry coverage, a high degree of industrial relevance, many small, medium and micro enterprises, and a strong role in driving farmers' employment and income growth.
As a well-known exhibition in the industry at home and abroad, the China Agricultural Products Processing Industry Investment and Trade Fair has been successfully held 17 times. This year's fair took development, cooperation, green technology and innovative development as its theme, adhered to the purpose of holding the fair with integrity, efficiency and safety, adhered to the principles of administrative organization, enterprise as the main body, participation by multiple parties and social services, adhered to the direction of marketization, specialization, branding, internationalization and informatization, adhered to the "six merchants on the same stage, each getting what it needs" approach for investors, product merchants, raw material merchants, purchasers, equipment merchants and service providers, and integrated seven major functions: investment and trade negotiations, release of scientific and technological achievements, display of technological equipment, product display and trade, promotion of industrial parks, international exchange and cooperation, and special focused discussions.
According to statistics, 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government across the country organized delegations to attend, with more than 170 participating delegations, more than 4,800 participating enterprises, and nearly 20,000 participating businesspeople, including more than 140 overseas enterprises and nearly 260 overseas businesspeople. Thirty-five domestic universities and research institutes, including the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and China Agricultural University, attended. Officials from the embassies in China of 2 international organizations and 10 countries and regions, and more than 140 well-known agricultural products processing enterprises from 21 countries and regions including Russia and Germany, exhibited. At the same time, more than 10 investment and financing institutions and more than 20 chambers of commerce and associations from across the country organized delegations to attend. During the event, a total of 173 key investment projects were signed, with a total investment of 53.8 billion yuan, and 680 latest scientific research achievements were released. The scale and level of this agricultural processing fair both exceeded those of previous sessions.
