According to statistics, as of September 5, various grain enterprises in 9 major producing areas including Henan and Jiangsu had purchased 60.98 million tons of newly harvested wheat, a decrease of 9.53 million tons compared with the same period of the previous year. Various grain enterprises in 8 major producing areas including Jiangxi and Hunan had purchased 5.96 million tons of newly harvested early indica rice, a decrease of 760,000 tons compared with the same period of the previous year. Various grain enterprises in 9 major producing areas including Sichuan and Hubei had purchased 1.45 million tons of newly harvested rapeseed, a decrease of 1.93 million tons compared with the same period of the previous year.
