Construction of modern agriculture demonstration zones advances steadily

HUZHOU, September 16 (Reporter Shen Jie) This year, the central government's reward-in-lieu-of-subsidy funds for national modern agriculture demonstration zones will increase from 250 million yuan to 1 billion yuan, and the scope of rewards and subsidies will expand from 25 to 100, including the 25 agricultural reform and construction pilot demonstration zones selected in the previous two years and the 75 demonstration zones newly selected this year through open competitive selection by each province, among which Wuxing District, Cixi City, Wenling City and Sanmen County of our province were selected.

It is understood that in order to advance the construction of modern agriculture demonstration zones, on September 16, a national modern agriculture demonstration zone training class was held in Huzhou, with representatives from 100 demonstration zones nationwide that receive support under the reward-in-lieu-of-subsidy policy participating in the training. The demonstration zones participating in this training were selected by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Finance from 253 national demonstration zones across the country, and each year 10 million yuan in reward-in-lieu-of-subsidy funds will be allocated to support them, arranged continuously for 3 years, focused on resolving the key links constraining agricultural modernization. The training focuses on the key links in modern agricultural development, concentrating efforts, resolving 1 to 2 key problems each year, and striving to achieve a batch of breakthrough results in about 3 years in areas such as innovation of the technology extension system, innovation of the land system, innovation of fiscal support methods, and innovation of financial services.
