September 21, 2015 National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index Week-on-Week

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on September 21 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 208.43, down 1.93 points from last Friday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 210.72, down 2.31 points from last Friday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at the national agricultural wholesale market was 24.17 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 184.77), down 0.7% from last Friday;

Beef 54.08 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from last Friday;

Mutton 46.87 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from last Friday;

Eggs 9.01 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from last Friday;

Dressed chicken 14.98 yuan/kg, down 1.3% from last Friday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.67 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 229.28), down 1.9% from last Friday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 4.99 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from last Friday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.55 yuan/kg, down 1.0% from last Friday;

Common carp 12.82 yuan/kg, unchanged from last Friday;

Silver carp 7.07 yuan/kg, up 2.3% from last Friday;

Large hairtail 28.62 yuan/kg, up 1.5% from last Friday.

Today, among the 60 varieties key monitored at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, compared with last Friday the top five price increases were: ya pear, watermelon, bighead carp, large yellow croaker and silver carp, with increases of 3.4%, 2.8%, 2.5%, 2.3% and 2.3% respectively; the top five price decreases were: spinach, cucumber, rapeseed, oyster mushroom and zucchini, with decreases of 6.1%, 5.4%, 5.4%, 5.4% and 5.0% respectively.
