Corn temporary storage purchase price set at 1 yuan per jin in 2015

BEIJING (Reporter Yang Zhaokui) The National Development and Reform Commission, the State Administration of Grain, the Ministry of Finance, and the Agricultural Development Bank of China recently jointly issued a notice that in 2015 the state will continue to implement the temporary corn purchase and storage policy in the three northeastern provinces and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This year the listed purchase price level for the state's temporary corn storage was set at 1 yuan/jin (national standard third-class quality standard).

This year's temporary corn purchase and storage policy requires strict implementation of national standards, and no longer relaxes relevant quality standards such as the moldy kernel content. For corn that fails to meet the quality requirements, local governments shall organize purchases in accordance with the provincial governor responsibility system for food security and the local responsibility system for food safety. The implementation period of this year's temporary corn purchase and storage policy has been adjusted to November 1, 2015 to April 30, 2016.
