Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism Destinations Recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture
Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, October 2 (report) - To make it convenient for urban and rural residents to savor farming culture, enjoy pastoral life, experience leisure labor, and perceive folk customs during the National Day long holiday, the Ministry of Agriculture recommended to the public a batch of quality leisure agriculture and rural tourism routes and destinations.
These routes and destinations include 260 of China's most beautiful leisure villages, 62 China Important Agricultural Heritage Systems, 100 quality leisure agriculture routes, and 165 national five-star demonstration enterprises (parks) for leisure agriculture and rural tourism (link address: http://www.moa.gov.cn/ztzl/xxly/), for urban and rural residents' leisure travel.
Among them, the recommendation of the 260 of China's most beautiful leisure villages takes advancing ecological civilization and building beautiful villages as its goal, and focuses on inheriting farming civilization, displaying folk culture, protecting traditional dwellings, and developing leisure agriculture, recommending to the public a batch of the most beautiful leisure villages with blue skies, green land, and clean water, where people live in peace, work happily, and increase their income, including villages with distinctive dwellings, villages with distinctive folk customs, modern new villages, and historic ancient villages.
The 62 China Important Agricultural Heritage Systems have a long historical origin, unique agricultural products, and rich biological resources; they are traditional agricultural production systems that highly unify economic and ecological value, and have notable characteristics in terms of being living, adaptive, composite, strategic, multifunctional, and endangered.
The 100 quality leisure agriculture routes cover more than 500 quality leisure agriculture operation sites with excellent service quality, obvious industrial characteristics, and complete leisure functions across 27 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) nationwide, with types including farmhouse entertainment, picking and fishing parks, leisure farms, leisure sightseeing parks, folk custom villages, charming leisure villages, and a batch of farming landscapes integrating farming characteristics with natural scenery and rural features.
The 165 national five-star demonstration enterprises (parks) for leisure agriculture and rural tourism have distinctive agricultural characteristics, a beautiful ecological environment, complete facilities and functions, and standardized management and services.
