Yin Chengwen emphasized that although China is the country that raises the most geese in the world, ranking first globally in both breeding goose stock and commercial meat goose slaughter volume, there are problems such as predominantly free-range farming, poor risk resistance, weak industry self-discipline, sluggish market promotion, and a lack of an industry market information system. Through the efforts of the Goose Industry Working Committee in building a goose industry database and industry standards, it will help establish itself as an authoritative data source for government decision-making and build a transparent trust mechanism between the industry and consumers.

Chairman Zhang Kangning pointed out that goose farming in different regions across the country is highly regional, with each region having its own breeds and its own technologies, resulting in poor interoperability and weak complementarity. The industry lacks self-regulatory management and communication, and has failed to form an overall industry synergy. The goose farming industry has not kept up with the development of the times. In the process of advancing China's goose farming industry toward industrialization, a number of issues constraining industry development urgently need to be resolved. Many tasks need to be advanced, including technical issues, management issues, operational issues, market issues, product promotion issues, food quality issues, industrial environmental protection issues, brand building issues, industry-university-research cooperation issues, industry financing issues, and industry insurance issues.

Zhang Kangning emphasized that the purpose of establishing the Goose Industry Working Committee is to raise the technical level of the national goose farming industry, improve the management level of the national goose farming industry, enable the national goose farming industry to develop well, and allow goose farming enterprises across the country to share information and exchange goods. We also need to establish a goose industry database and industry technical standards so that member units can share the results; provide policy recommendations for the development of the goose farming industry and become an authoritative data source for government decision-making; establish a transparent and trusting mechanism between the industry and consumers, promote goose products, publicize member units and their product brands, and participate in domestic and international industry exchanges and cooperation. Integrate the resources, technology, and information of the goose farming industry, and make more contributions to the goose farming industry!
