List of China's Most Beautiful Leisure Villages Announced, Ministry of Agriculture Recommends 120
On October 15, the Agricultural Products Processing Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture recommended 120 of China's Most Beautiful Leisure Villages to the public in Wuhan, Hubei, including Simatai Village in Miyun County, Beijing.
Zong Jinyao, Director of the Agricultural Products Processing Bureau (Township Enterprise Bureau) of the Ministry of Agriculture, said in an interview that the Ministry of Agriculture this year continued to carry out the recommendation activity for China's Most Beautiful Leisure Villages, aiming to thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements put forward by the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China on vigorously advancing ecological civilization and building a Beautiful China, to further enhance the visibility and influence of these most beautiful leisure villages, to stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of all localities in building the most beautiful leisure villages, to cultivate well-known brands of leisure agriculture and rural tourism, to promote farmers' employment and income growth, and to boost the leisure tourism consumption of urban and rural residents.
According to the introduction, the China's Most Beautiful Leisure Villages recommended this time are all models of developing leisure agriculture and rural tourism in accordance with local conditions, taking agriculture as the foundation, farmers as the main body, and the village as the unit, with farming culture as the soul, beautiful countryside as the charm, ecological agriculture as the base, innovation and creation as the path, and ancient villages as the form, centering on the agricultural production process, farmers' working life, and rural customs and features. Their functions and characteristics are prominent and their cultural connotations are rich, fully reflecting the farming civilization, regional customs, and distinctive features of various places, interpreting the cultural accumulation of agricultural landscapes, and possessing relatively high comprehensive agricultural benefits. They are important carriers for satisfying the leisure tourism consumption of urban and rural residents and for passing on rural civilization and Chinese national culture, as well as beautiful homes for farmers' happy lives and classic epitomes of building beautiful villages and a Beautiful China.
In order to implement the Notice on Actively Developing the Multiple Functions of Agriculture and Vigorously Promoting the Development of Leisure Agriculture issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and 11 other departments, the Ministry of Agriculture requires the following: First, incorporate leisure agriculture and rural tourism into the local national economic and social development plans, organize the drafting of development strategies, policies, plans, and programs and guide their implementation, and effectively improve the ability to promote the scientific development of leisure agriculture and rural tourism. Second, integrate the development of leisure agriculture with modern agriculture, beautiful villages, ecological civilization, the construction of cultural and creative industries, and farmers' entrepreneurship and innovation, and promote the integrated development of the primary, secondary, and tertiary industries in rural areas. Third, optimize the layout, enrich the connotations, increase income and alleviate poverty, upgrade the level, develop in an orderly manner, and cultivate brands, carry out brand cultivation projects such as the creation of leisure agriculture demonstrations and the recommendation of China's Most Beautiful Leisure Villages, and enhance the industry's influence and visibility. Fourth, actively communicate and consult with relevant departments, and strive to formulate policy measures with high value and strong directionality, precision, and operability.
