Vice Premier Wang Yang of the State Council inspected the development of marine fisheries in Shandong Province on the 19th. He stressed that deep cultivation of the sea and development of modern marine fisheries is an important strategy in China's agricultural modernization. In recent years, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shandong Province have cooperated to build a marine ecological ranch demonstration base. Through the "algae, shellfish, sea cucumber, fish" ecological circular aquaculture model, a marine ecological three-dimensional mixed culture system has been formed, combining mariculture, stock enhancement and release, environmental protection, ecological restoration and resource conservation. It has not only achieved good economic benefits, but also significantly improved the seawater quality in the aquaculture area and promoted the improvement of the marine ecological environment. Wang Yang inspected the demonstration base located in Laizhou, Yantai, and fully affirmed the achievements in marine ranch construction. He stressed that developing modern marine aquaculture is of great significance for ensuring food security, improving dietary structure and promoting farmers' income growth. It is necessary to earnestly study the development strategy of the marine aquaculture industry, place the restoration and protection of the marine ecological environment in an important position, and continuously improve the production capacity of marine fisheries and the level of product quality and safety. It is necessary to strengthen scientific and technological research on marine aquaculture and accelerate the promotion and transformation of achievements. Promote the industrialized operation of marine aquaculture, give full play to the leading role of scientific and technological innovation and the driving role of leading enterprises, and actively attract farmers to participate in the construction of modern marine fisheries in the form of cooperatives, shareholding systems and other forms, so that farmers can share in the fruits of modern marine fishery development. Promote the combination of marine aquaculture with aquatic product processing and distribution, recreational fishing, tourism and sightseeing, accelerate the integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and improve the comprehensive competitiveness of marine fisheries.
