Changes in the National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index on October 20, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on October 20 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 194.50, down 0.33 points from yesterday, among which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 193.92, down 0.59 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural products wholesale markets was 22.93 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 178.20), down 0.6% from yesterday;

Beef 53.87 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Mutton 46.90 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday;

Eggs 7.79 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.66 yuan/kg, down 0.5% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 3.27 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 191.00), down 0.3% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 4.70 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.34 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.35 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Silver carp 6.91 yuan/kg, down 1.1% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 28.44 yuan/kg, up 1.6% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties monitored at domestic fresh agricultural products wholesale markets, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: pineapple, watermelon, largehead hairtail, eggplant and scallion, with increases of 3.2%, 2.3%, 1.6%, 1.2% and 1.0% respectively; the top five price decreases were: cauliflower, oyster mushroom, rapeseed (bok choy), spinach and lotus root, with decreases of 3.3%, 2.1%, 1.8%, 1.7% and 1.7% respectively.
