China's Output of 7 Major Agricultural Products Ranked First in the World in 2014

Xinhua News Agency dispatch: Zhang Baowen, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, said on the 2nd that in 2014, China's output of cotton, oilseeds, meat and other major agricultural products ranked first in the world.

When Zhang Baowen reported to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the law enforcement inspection of the Agriculture Law that day, he said that in 2014, China's output of cotton, oilseeds, meat, poultry eggs, aquatic products, vegetables, fruits and other major agricultural products reached 6.17 million tons, 35.07 million tons, 87.06 million tons, 28.93 million tons, 64.5 million tons, 760.05 million tons and 165.88 million tons respectively, all ranking first in the world. Grain output reached 1214.05 billion jin, achieving an “eleventh consecutive increase”.
