According to the agricultural weather forecast issued by the China Meteorological Administration, it is expected that from November 4 to 8, a large-scale significant precipitation process will occur in the central and eastern regions of China, with moderate to heavy rain in eastern Northwest China, southern North China, the Huang-Huai region, the Jiang-Huai region, the Han River basin, and northern Jiangnan, and rainstorms in some local areas. The precipitation will be very favorable for increasing soil moisture in the northern winter wheat region and cultivating strong seedlings before winter, but it will bring adverse effects on winter wheat sowing and rapeseed transplanting in the south.

In this regard, experts suggest that the winter wheat regions in eastern Northwest China, North China, and northern Huang-Huai should pay attention to strengthening field management and take advantage of the moisture to cultivate strong seedlings before winter; areas such as southern Huang-Huai and northern Jiang-Huai that were previously short of soil moisture and suffered drought should pay attention to checking seedlings and replanting missing ones, and areas that were not sown due to drought should seize the moisture and time to replant winter wheat, and appropriately increase the sowing rate to ensure sufficient basic seedlings before winter; the Jianghan and Southwest winter wheat regions should seize rain-free periods to sow winter wheat in time, and southern rapeseed producing areas should transplant rapeseed in time.
