November 11, 2015 National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index Changes

Monitored by the Ministry of Agriculture, on November 11 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 193.15, down 0.12 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 192.48, down 0.09 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural products wholesale markets was 22.53 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 175.00), down 0.2% from yesterday;

Beef 54.45 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday;

Mutton 46.84 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from yesterday;

Eggs 7.80 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.57 yuan/kg, down 1.8% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.28 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 184.63), down 0.6% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.00 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 13.99 yuan/kg, down 2.0% from yesterday;

Common carp 12.08 yuan/kg, down 1.2% from yesterday;

Silver carp 6.88 yuan/kg, down 2.1% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 28.60 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties key monitored at domestic fresh and live agricultural products wholesale markets, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: cabbage, Chinese chives, large yellow croaker, cucumber and watermelon, with increases of 3.4%, 2.9%, 2.7%, 2.5% and 1.7% respectively; the top five price decreases were: cauliflower, Chinese cabbage, spinach, scallion and grass carp, with decreases of 5.0%, 4.2%, 3.8%, 2.6% and 2.6% respectively.
