National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index rises and falls on December 11, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on December 11 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 201.94, down 0.07 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 203.21, up 0.10 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural wholesale market was 22.75 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 176.49), up 0.2% from yesterday;

Beef 54.30 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Mutton 46.54 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from yesterday;

Eggs 8.03 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.77 yuan/kg, up 0.7% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.11 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 229.19), up 0.2% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 4.86 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

The average price of crucian carp was 14.06 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Common carp 11.97 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.20 yuan/kg, down 1.4% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 28.56 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties monitored as key items in the domestic fresh and live agricultural wholesale market, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: eggplant, celery, large yellow croaker, cauliflower and Kyoho grapes, with increases of 3.3%, 3.2%, 2.9%, 2.9% and 2.7% respectively; the top five price decreases were: watermelon, celtuce, cucumber, silver carp and Chinese chives, with decreases of 3.1%, 2.8%, 1.4%, 1.4% and 1.0% respectively.
