The reporter learned from the China Green Food Development Center that from January to September 2015, 160 markets (shopping malls) of various types in 55 cities or regions nationwide were inspected, 175 products with non-compliant labeling were rectified, and 31 counterfeit cases were discovered and investigated; 163 reported cases were accepted, assistance was provided to administrative law enforcement departments in handling 49 violation cases, and a total of 56 product logo use rights were revoked.

According to the person in charge of the China Green Food Development Center, over the years, the Ministry of Agriculture has organized the formulation of 126 series of standards, including green food production area environmental standards, production operating procedures, input use guidelines, product testing standards, and logo and label use specifications. In 2012, the Measures for the Administration of Green Food Labels were revised and promulgated, explicitly stipulating that green food quality supervision throughout the entire process is incorporated into the administrative functions of agricultural departments of people's governments at all levels. Over the years, the China Green Food Development Center has formulated and implemented five work systems centered on green food quality supervision and inspection: annual inspection of label-using enterprises, annual sampling inspection of label-using product quality, market monitoring and anti-counterfeiting of green food labels, quality risk early warning, and information announcement. It has also established a team of label supervisors within the national green food work system. At present, there are 3,084 supervisors holding valid certificates nationwide, covering more than 80% of prefecture-level cities and more than 50% of counties and cities nationwide. Since 2011, the center has fully launched quality management risk early warning and the establishment of internal inspector teams in green food production enterprises. As of 2014, a total of 15,540 enterprise internal inspectors had been registered and issued certificates nationwide, and there are currently 122 risk early warning information officers in total. The implementation and application of these systems and work measures have ensured the stable and continuous improvement of green food quality and gradually enhanced brand credibility.
