November 17, 2015 National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index Change

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on November 17 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 192.72, down 0.27 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 192.02, down 0.33 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural products wholesale markets was 22.40 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 173.57), down 0.1% from yesterday;

Beef was 54.39 yuan/kg, up 0.2% from yesterday;

Mutton was 46.33 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Eggs were 7.84 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken was 14.48 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.40 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 185.83), unchanged from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 4.97 yuan/kg, up 1.4% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.30 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from yesterday;

Common carp was 12.06 yuan/kg, down 0.7% from yesterday;

Silver carp was 6.96 yuan/kg, down 1.7% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail was 28.50 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties of fresh and live agricultural products monitored at domestic wholesale markets, compared with yesterday, the top five price increases were: cucumber, long beans, Chinese chives, zucchini and eggplant, with increases of 4.4%, 3.9%, 3.2%, 2.8% and 2.6% respectively; the top five price decreases were: white radish, celery, lettuce, shiitake mushroom and spinach, with decreases of 5.4%, 2.9%, 2.1%, 2.0% and 1.9% respectively.
