Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province Demonstrates and Promotes the Use of Grass Instead of Wood for Cultivating Edible Fungi
It is reported that with the scale-up and intensification of livestock farming in Xingan County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, the impact of livestock and poultry manure on environmental pollution has grown increasingly severe, and the problem of environmental pollution has become ever more prominent. Therefore, the county has actively guided pig farmers in prohibited-zone areas to renovate their pig farms and switch to ecological, environmentally friendly green industries such as edible fungus cultivation and snake farming. At present, 4 demonstration sites for “using grass instead of wood” edible fungus cultivation have been set up in townships such as Taoxi, Qiqin and Lijiang, reducing and controlling environmental pollution, improving comprehensive benefits, and promoting increases in farmers' income. At the same time, it lends a hand to the “green” development of ecological civilization.
