Diliubu Village in Xinkou Town is a national-level ten-thousand-mu pollution-free vegetable production base named by the Ministry of Agriculture. The Shuigaozhuang Dongdian urban-type agriculture core area and the Dangcheng thousand-mu green manor are agricultural parks named by Tianjin. The three villages have a total agricultural planting area of nearly 30,000 mu. At present, 15,000 intelligent greenhouses, energy-saving greenhouses, and standard simple greenhouses have been built, with an annual output of 140 million kg of various pollution-free vegetables, and more than one hundred new vegetable varieties have been developed and cultivated cumulatively. To meet citizens' demand for vegetables and let consumers eat reassuring, safe food, the production and management of pollution-free vegetables have been strengthened. Taking advantage of the Israeli Garden located in the town's Dongdian urban-type agriculture core area, new cultivation methods have been adopted, and soil configuration technology, soil testing technology, plant growth monitoring technology, soilless cultivation technology, hydroponic technology, biological pest control technology, and physical control technology have been applied to vegetables in other parks and bases to produce organic and green vegetables.
To let consumers truly eat safe, reassuring fresh vegetables, since the beginning of this year the town's food safety department, together with the town agricultural technology promotion station, has gone deep into all villages, cooperatives, bases, associations, and parks in the town to hold 7 training sessions of different types. At the same time, vegetable safety monitoring stations have also been established at the Dangcheng production-area wholesale market, the Shuigaozhuang agriculture core area, the Dangcheng thousand-mu green manor, and the Bijiacun Shunzi Vegetable Professional Cooperative, among others, to conduct quality testing on vegetables brought to market, ensuring vegetable quality and safety from the source and making sure the general public can eat reassuring vegetables.
