Up to now, 3 training sessions have been held, with more than 500 people trained.

Recently, in order to ensure that the general public can eat safe vegetables before and after the Spring Festival and to safeguard Songzhuang's reputation as the hometown of pollution-free vegetables and fruits, Songzhuang Town in Mengjin County has strengthened the safety management of pesticide use in winter greenhouse vegetables. Up to now, 3 training sessions have been held, with more than 500 people trained, more than 1,000 copies of plain-language leaflets on choosing pesticides and safe pesticide use have been distributed, and 10 batches of vegetables have been sampled and tested, with no vegetables found to have excessive pesticide residues.

The town first hired senior agronomists to provide technical training on vegetable pesticide safety to vegetable farmers in specialized vegetable-growing villages, vigorously promoted integrated pest management techniques, and guided farmers in the scientific and rational use of pesticides. Second, it organized professional technicians to go deep into vegetable bases, urge them to implement the relevant provisions on pre-harvest intervals, standardize pesticide use records for production, and guide farmers in conducting self-testing before market. Third, it increased monitoring of prohibited and restricted pesticide residues in key vegetable varieties such as Chinese chives, tomatoes, eggplants, and cucumbers, strictly preventing substandard vegetables from reaching the market.

At present, the quality and safety of agricultural products in Songzhuang Town are relatively good, with complete varieties, sufficient supply, stable prices, and reliable quality, providing reliable safety guarantees for the public's vegetable consumption.
