It is now the final season for harvesting ginger. In the fields of Liuxiang Township, Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Province, people come and go as ginger farmers busily harvest ginger in the fields. This year, the 3,100 mu of ginger planted by the people of Liuxiang Township enjoyed a bumper harvest, with total output reaching more than 9.3 million kg. At present, more than half of the ginger has been sold or placed in cellars, and more than 3 million kg of ginger is still waiting to be sold.

Liuxiang Township is located at the foot of the famous national 4A-level tourist attraction Sheng tang Mountain Scenic Area in Guangxi, with fertile soil, a good ecological environment, and climatic conditions especially suitable for ginger cultivation. The history of ginger cultivation here is nearly 200 years, and the ginger grown here is large, thick-fleshed, good-tasting, and high-quality, and is deeply loved by people.

In recent years, Liuxiang Township has guided ginger farmers to introduce good-quality varieties for planting, invited agricultural technical professionals to the villages every year to train ginger farmers, established planting demonstration bases, gone deep into the fields to guide pest and disease control, and set up ginger planting cooperatives, promoting new technologies combining single cropping, intercropping, and organic planting, so that the yield and quality of ginger here are guaranteed.
