Three Provincial-Level Agricultural Standardization Demonstration Zones in Xiamen Pass Acceptance Review
Recently, the provincial-level agricultural standardization demonstration zone for vegetable seedling cultivation of Xiamen Baili Seedling Co., Ltd., the provincial-level agricultural standardization demonstration zone for green bamboo shoot cultivation of Xiamen Xinlongxi Fruit and Vegetable Professional Cooperative, and the provincial-level agricultural standardization demonstration zone for pollution-free vegetable cultivation of Xiamen Sanxiushan Vegetable Professional Cooperative successfully passed the assessment and acceptance review organized by the Office of the Leading Group for Agricultural Standardization of Fujian Province.
After three years of standardization construction, the demonstration zones achieved good benefits. In the vegetable seedling cultivation demonstration zone, the promoted planting area was 20 hectares, raising the yield per mu for growers from the original 6 tonnes to 8 tonnes, an increase of 33.33%; the demonstration was promoted over 15000 mu, increasing farmers' income by 0.9 billion yuan. Through the construction of the provincial-level agricultural standardization demonstration zone for vegetable seedling cultivation, Xiamen Baili Co., Ltd. further improved its agricultural industrialization business model of regional distribution and supporting services, and the vegetable seedling industry was able to continue developing and growing, not only enhancing economic benefits but also achieving notable social and ecological benefits.
The green bamboo shoot cultivation demonstration zone covers an area of 500 mu. Through standardization construction, the average yield per mu reached 6255 kilograms, with a total output of 91015 kilograms. The average yield per mu increased by 2949 kilograms compared with the average yield per mu of 3306 kilograms in the three years before the demonstration, a growth of 89.92%; calculated at an average price of 5900 yuan per tonne of green bamboo shoots, through standardization construction, the total output value of the demonstration zone reached 5.36 million yuan, an additional income of 163.51 yuan per mu compared with before the demonstration. Through the construction of the provincial-level agricultural standardization demonstration zone for green bamboo shoot cultivation, Xiamen Xinlongxi Fruit and Vegetable Professional Cooperative further improved the agricultural industrialization business model of “cooperative + company + base + farmers”, and the pollution-free, green food green bamboo shoot industry was able to continue developing and growing, not only enhancing economic benefits but also achieving notable social and ecological benefits.
The core demonstration zone for pollution-free vegetable cultivation standardization covers 1200 mu, with a radiation area of more than 3000 mu. Through standardization construction, the cumulative output over three years was 7387.5 tonnes, with newly added benefits of 5.9925 million yuan, increasing the income of villagers in the non-project area by 25%, adding more than 165 employment opportunities, and benefiting more than 900 surrounding rural households. Through the demonstration of the zone, notable ecological benefits were achieved. First, after implementing agricultural standardization, it adhered to the concept of green, environmentally friendly, and pollution-free practices, persisted in invigorating agriculture through science and technology, focused on improving the soil, and implemented crop rotation, so that farmland “pest damage” was significantly reduced; second, because farmland “pest damage” was reduced, production costs decreased, output increased by 30%, and income per mu per year increased by 1750 yuan, greatly improving economic benefits.
