Emergency Vegetable Product Reserve Warehouse Completed in Shiyan City
[Introduction·China Vegetable Network]The Municipal People's Government Emergency Vegetable Product Reserve Warehouse was established by the Municipal Vegetable Office in accordance with the requirements of the "Notice of the State Council on Further Promoting Vegetable Production, Ensuring Market Supply, and Maintaining Basic Price Stability," implementing the municipal government's “Vegetable Basket” project, increasing market supply regulation measures, and safeguarding the vegetable consumption needs of our city's residents and social stability.
On December 21, the unveiling ceremony of the Municipal People's Government Emergency Vegetable Product Reserve Warehouse was held at the Changling Logistics Center of Shoukang Yongle Commerce and Trade Group Co., Ltd., marking the official commencement of operations for the vegetable product cold storage and preservation emergency reserve warehouse with a capacity of 5000 tons.
The Municipal People's Government Emergency Vegetable Product Reserve Warehouse was established by the Municipal Vegetable Office in accordance with the requirements of the "Notice of the State Council on Further Promoting Vegetable Production, Ensuring Market Supply, and Maintaining Basic Price Stability," implementing the municipal government's “Vegetable Basket” project, increasing market supply regulation measures, and safeguarding the vegetable consumption needs of our city's residents and social stability. After deliberation at a joint meeting of the Municipal Vegetable Office and the Municipal Finance Bureau, and with the approval of the Municipal People's Government, a dedicated area was designated within the cold storage and freezer facility of the Changling Logistics Center under Shoukang Yongle Commerce and Trade Group Co., Ltd. to jointly establish the Municipal People's Government Emergency Vegetable Product Reserve Warehouse. After completion, the emergency reserve warehouse will conduct storage and distribution turnover of no fewer than 5 varieties of storable vegetable products in the Shiyan urban area during March to April, September to October, major natural disasters, and the New Year's Day and Spring Festival periods, and will carry out vegetable emergency reserve operations with an annual cumulative turnover of no less than 3000 tons, ensuring a dynamic balance of more than 7 days' consumption for important storable vegetable varieties.
Xia Shuying, Director of the Municipal Vegetable Office, said that the construction of the emergency reserve warehouse meets the needs of the large-scale logistics situation, the needs of large-scale market circulation, and the need to ensure that urban residents can eat fresh and safe vegetables. The reserve warehouse has established a platform covering the production, storage, and circulation of important vegetable products, which will further satisfy the municipal government's explicit requirements regarding the emergency reserve function for vegetable consumption in the Shiyan urban area, regulating and enriching vegetable supply varieties and volumes, and effectively serve to stabilize vegetable price fluctuations in the market.
