Nantong City, Jiangsu, Solidly Advances the Introduction of New Varieties

In order to accelerate the renewal rate of new varieties and serve Nantong's agricultural production, the Nantong City Seed Management Station directly introduced a record number of new crop varieties in 2015. In 2015, the Nantong City Seed Management Station organized the introduction of 125 crop varieties of various types (96 last year), and organized intermediate trials at 39 (36 last year) site-times; among these, for spring and summer sown crops - rice, corn, cotton, watermelon, spring soybean, and summer soybean - there were 41 new varieties and 24 trial site-times; for autumn sown barley and wheat there were 14 varieties and 7 trial site-times, and for rapeseed there were 70 varieties and 8 trial site-times.
