Winter management tips for edible mushrooms, a must-read for growers
1. Increase the shed temperature to promote mushroom growth. For oyster mushrooms, appropriately increase light exposure and spray New High-Fat Film to enhance photosynthesis and raise the temperature inside the shed; for button mushrooms, add an extra layer of plastic film outside the mushroom shed...

Peat can be used to cultivate edible fungi, and Japan already has practical experience with this.
Japan has successfully developed a method for cultivating edible fungi using a mixed substrate based mainly on 20% to 30% peat and oil-containing grains (both measured on a dry matter basis). Before cultivation, the long fibers in the peat are cut and chopped, and a mixture of barley husks, rice bran and sawdust, which can effectively increase aeration, is added, after which the substrate is bottled, sterilized and inoculated. When the formula is suitable, the harvest rate of oyster mushrooms per bottle reaches 55%, an increase of 30% compared with cultivating oyster mushrooms using a substrate of sawdust and rice bran alone. The growth period can be shortened from 50 days to 56 days

What are the key points for winter cultivation of shiitake mushrooms? A must-read for growers
Shiitake mushrooms are crisp and tender in texture, delicious in taste, rich in nutrients, and highly profitable. Among mushroom farmers there is a saying: "Plant shiitake on one mu of idle land, and become a ten-thousand-yuan household that same year." The key points of winter management are briefly introduced as follows: The climate characteristics of late autumn and early winter are low temperatures, large temperature differences between day and night, and humidity that is easy to control. Under normal circumstances, the mycelium grows slowly, fewer mushrooms emerge, and the fruiting bodies also grow slowly. Under such conditions, keeping the mushroom bed warm and preventing the intrusion of cold wind are key factors among the many growth factors, so attention should be paid to weather changes, and coverage and

Why do mushrooms sporadically appear before the mycelium has fully spread
Normally, after the mycelium has fully spread, fruiting begins after a few days of recovery. But sometimes fruiting bodies appear when the mycelium has only spread through 2/3, or even 1/2, of the mushroom log, which is abnormal. Some people advertise that their spawn produces mushrooms before the mycelium has fully spread as a superior "early-maturing, high-yielding spawn," but that is deceptive nonsense; in reality, when this happens, it is a sign of spawn degeneration. There are also external factors, such as: (1) using too much spawn, so old spawn blocks produce mushrooms. (2) packing the substrate too tightly, and the cultivation bag
