Correct methods of topdressing and irrigation in Schisandra chinensis cultivation
Fertilization: After deep plowing (autumn plowing), apply autumn fertilizer, applying 3-5 m3 of farmyard manure per mu, carried out on both sides of the trellis every other year; in the first two years, keep close to the wall of the planting trench; after the third year, open a trench 60-80 cm deep and 40 cm wide between the rows, and cover with soil immediately after filling. Topdress twice each year: the first time at the bud break stage (early May), apply quick-acting nitrogen and potassium fertilizer; the second time at the mid-growth stage of the plants (early July), apply quick-acting phosphorus and potassium fertilizer.
