Growing passion fruit: Why does it only flower but not bear fruit? In August this year I bought a passion fruit plant from a vendor at the vegetable market. At the time it had four passion fruits on it, which later ripened and dropped off. After that it flowered continuously but did not bear fruit. I planted it on my south-facing balcony, in soil more than two feet high.
