Rabbit farming equipment is the collective term for the various implements and facilities used to raise, manage and breed rabbits, mainly including rabbit cages, feed troughs, drinkers, kindling boxes, and supporting facilities for ventilation and cooling. Whether for small-scale backyard raising or large-scale rabbit farms, a well-configured setup can improve feeding efficiency and reduce the labour intensity of routine management.

In terms of function, rabbit farming equipment can be roughly divided into several categories. The cage-rearing category includes breeding rabbit cages, fattening cages and doe kindling boxes, and forms the core part of a rabbit farm; the feeding and drinking category includes automatic drinkers, feed troughs and hay racks; the environmental control category includes fans, wet pads and heat lamps, used to regulate the temperature and humidity inside the shed. There are also auxiliary tools such as manure cleaning boards and transport cages.

When choosing equipment, the first thing to consider is the farming scale and purpose. For small-scale raising, a simple single-tier rabbit cage can be chosen, while large-scale farming is better suited to multi-tier or multi-row cage units, combined with automatic drinking and manure cleaning systems. The bottom of the rabbit cage should be flat and fitted with manure-drop gaps to avoid injuring the rabbits' feet; the material should resist chewing and be easy to disinfect, and a combination of galvanised wire and plastic parts is common.

When arranging the equipment, pay attention to ventilation and lighting, keep the shed dry, and avoid stuffy, damp conditions that can trigger disease. Kindling boxes should be placed in a quiet corner and lined with soft, absorbent bedding. Check regularly whether the drinkers are blocked and whether the cage doors are secure, and disinfect and repair them in good time, so that the rabbit farming equipment can function reliably over the long term and lay a solid foundation for rabbit production.
