Rex rabbit price trends are influenced by a combination of multiple factors
Rex rabbit prices refer to how the purchase price and transaction price of Rex rabbits in the market change over time, and are usually broken down into different categories such as live rabbit prices, pelt prices and breeding stock prices. The Rex rabbit's fur is short, flat and dense, with a feel similar to otter fur. Its commercial value comes mainly from the fur, so its price trend is very closely tied to supply and demand in the fur market.
There are many factors that affect Rex rabbit prices. Fur quality is the core factor: the density, evenness and glossiness of the fur determine the pelt grade, and the higher the grade, the more favourable the quoted price; whether body weight and body shape reach commercial standards also directly affects the purchase price. In addition, seasonal changes in demand, differences in processing and purchasing capacity between regions, fluctuations in feed costs and the size of the herd all drive price rises and falls to varying degrees.
As a general rule, in autumn and winter the fur matures to a higher degree and fur garment consumption enters its peak season, so prices tend to be relatively firm; in summer the pelt quality declines and prices tend to fall, and there are also certain price gaps between producing regions. Farmers can follow the latest developments through agricultural information platforms and local purchasing channels, and then plan the timing of sales flexibly according to the growth of their own rabbit herd.
It should be noted that prices are only a reference. To sell at a good price, the key is still to raise the rabbits well. In normal times, do a good job of feeding and management, adjust the rabbit house temperature and feed mix according to the season, and vaccinate on schedule, so as to ensure stable pelt quality. At the same time, view price fluctuations rationally, avoid blindly holding back stock or selling off in a concentrated rush, and arrange the rhythm of breeding stock reproduction and commercial rabbit sales reasonably, so that farming returns will be more stable.
