The Budgerigar Tieba is an online community for budgerigar enthusiasts.

The Budgerigar Tieba is an online community themed around budgerigars, and it is one of the pet-related forums on Baidu Tieba. It brings together many budgerigar keepers and enthusiasts, who gather to discuss the keeping, breeding and everyday antics of this small parrot.

The types of posts in the forum are very diverse, with common ones including sharing keeping experience, asking for help with hand-feeding chicks, discussions about illness and everyday photos of birds. When new bird keepers run into problems such as a parrot being listless, having diarrhea or molting abnormally, they often post for help, and experienced forum members generally offer reference opinions based on the description and photos.

The scope of discussion around budgerigars is fairly broad, covering everything from cage setup and feed mixing to temperature management and hygiene and cleaning. Many forum members also exchange experience on hand-raising chicks, bonding training and pair breeding, and over time this has built up a relatively systematic body of bird-keeping material.

For people preparing to keep birds or just starting out, the value of this kind of community lies in being able to quickly obtain practical experience and also meet like-minded people who help each other. However, online advice is for reference only; if a parrot shows obvious symptoms of illness, professional veterinary help should be sought promptly, and before acquiring a bird for keeping, the relevant regulations should also be understood and preparations made for long-term care.
