The flame tree is a very special flower. It blooms twice a year, once from May to June, and once in September, so its flower meaning is related to its blooming period. The flame tree flower is divided into five petals, the flowers are large and fire-like, with red flowers and green leaves, magnificent and splendid, and it is known as one of the trees with the most fiery red colors.

June is the season of parting, so the flame tree flower meaning carries the significance of longing, farewell, and fiery youth. Despite its fiery, passionate color, the flame tree flower meaning also carries a sense of farewell; that touch of crimson red represents endless longing. When you walk through the flower-lined path that looks like a red carpet, in the moment you look up, the petals touch your heart, and the feeling of longing is hard to express. Yet its fiery heat cannot drive away the years of youth; that is a color full of vitality. Under the sunlight, it leaps with the melody of youth, strumming and singing touching notes.

The legend of the flame tree

A very long time ago, in a place where not a blade of grass grew and no one lived, a flock of egrets flying south came to this place. The leading egret discovered that food here was abundant, so it led the flock of egrets to settle down. Some egrets dug open many springs, and clear spring water came gurgling down; other egrets carried various flower seeds and grass seeds from the mainland in their beaks and scattered them on the island, and the island was filled with a hundred flowers blooming and lush green grass. With beautiful mountains and clear waters, and clusters of flowers, many birds were drawn to build nests; all at once the small island became extraordinarily lively and colorful.

This scene made the Snake King who lurked beneath the East Sea extremely jealous, so he led snake demons to stir up trouble. To protect their homeland, the egrets fought a life-and-death battle with the snake demons. The leading egret led everyone to drive away the snake demons, but it was also gravely wounded and lay in a pool of blood. Later, on the patch of land where the leading egret had shed its blood, a tall, upright tree grew. The leaves of that tree opened like the leading egret; the flowers that tree bore were as fiery red as the leading egret's blood. This kind of tree people call the flame tree; this kind of flower people call the flame tree flower.
