Laying Duck Farming Techniques and Management: Master Five Aspects to Increase the Laying Rate
It is the end of another year, and many friends want to try their hand at farming. The market for laying ducks has been quite good over the past two years, which has also driven the continuous expansion of the farming industry. But throughout the entire farming process, there are many details that everyone needs to pay attention to. Today, the editor will introduce laying duck farming techniques to you. Let's take a look together!
Laying Duck Farming Techniques
1. Supplement Nutrition in a Timely Manner
Increase the animal-based protein ingredients in the feed and double the addition of multiple vitamins to supplement nutrition. This is more conducive to increasing the nutrition of laying ducks and raising the laying rate.
2. Reasonable Feeding
The amount of concentrated feed for autumn ducks should be determined by the laying rate of the duck flock. If the laying rate of the duck flock is above 50%, more concentrated feed can be added. Otherwise, some green fodder can be fed or the amount of bran and husk in the concentrated feed can be increased while reducing the amount of carbohydrate ingredients.
3. Maintain a Suitable Environment
Laying ducks like a varied living environment; they enjoy both a pond for playing in the water and a dry activity area. The water depth of the pond should be above 1.5 m and the water quality should be hygienic, and the activity area should be spread with some fine sand. Laying ducks have vigorous metabolism in autumn, so they are very sensitive to the environment. Therefore, do not change the feed composition easily. If a change is truly needed, it should go from less to more and transition gradually. If the temperature is too high, the time for the duck flock to rest under the trees can be extended or the number of times the duck flock bathes can be increased.
4. Increase Lighting
Insufficient lighting in autumn can easily lead to a drop in the laying rate of laying ducks. Two sets of lighting equipment can be set up inside the house to supplement lighting. One set is fitted with bulbs of about 15 watts, used for the duck flock to rest, and the other set is fitted with 60-watt bulbs, used to feed the duck flock and stimulate the duck flock's activity.
5. Forced Molting
The natural molting period of a duck flock lasts about 150 days. In production, forced molting can be carried out in a planned way to shorten the non-laying period. It should be noted that on the day forced molting is carried out, the duck flock must not be allowed to bathe, so as to avoid infection.
The above is the laying duck farming techniques summarized and organized by the editor. In fact, learning by following the text is certainly not as fast as doing more practice yourself. Farming still depends on yourself, and the skills are all figured out slowly.
