How to grow radish greens? The growing method is easy to understand at a glance
Radish greens are also called radish seedlings or radish tops. The vitamin C content in radish leaves is more than 2 times higher than that in the root, effectively preventing enlarged bones. How to grow radish greens so they grow most vigorously?
1. Site selection
Choose a plot sheltered from the wind and facing the sun, deep-plow the land before winter, and let it dry. Apply farmyard manure as base fertilizer, prepare the soil finely, and make beds 1.5 m long and 1.2 m wide.
2. Sowing
Level the bed surface, water it thoroughly, and after the water seeps down, evenly broadcast the seeds over the bed surface, then cover with 1 cm of sieved fine soil. Then cover with plastic film or a small arched tunnel to preserve moisture and warmth.
3. Field management
When the radish seedlings' cotyledons unfold, the plastic film can be removed, and when the temperature is above 25°C, ventilate heavily or remove the tunnel film. Generally, soil moisture content should reach 70%-80%, and during the entire growth period, water once every 3-5 days.
4. Harvesting
They can be eaten before the radish's fleshy root has fully expanded. Therefore, they can be harvested gradually and marketed gradually. Gengzhongbang suggests that after emergence, starting from 5 or 6 leaves, they can be harvested gradually using the thinning-style harvesting method. When harvesting, pinch the root with your hand and pull it up so the whole plant is harvested. The harvest period can run from April to May.
Radish seedlings contain lignin, which can increase the activity of macrophages and engulf cancer cells. In addition, the various enzymes contained in radish seedlings can break down the carcinogenic nitrosamine and have an anti-cancer effect.
