Anthracnose is a common disease during the growth of crops, mostly harming the leaves, flowers, branches and fruits of plants, and in severe cases it can reduce crop yields, so which pesticides should be used to control anthracnose?

1. Which pesticides are used for anthracnose?

For vegetable anthracnose, Ximu Chemical's anthracnose-specific agent can be diluted 1500 times and sprayed, once every 7 days or so, for 3 consecutive sprays. For fruit anthracnose, Tanju Quanwu-Mixian Bromonitrile Fungicide can be diluted with water and sprayed for control. For flower and tree anthracnose, Jiaboli Yuan-Tante Ling can be sprayed at 500 times dilution for control.

2. How is anthracnose controlled?

1. Plant anthracnose

Anthracnose is a common plant disease. Leaf spot symptoms: leaf lesions are brown to grayish brown, round or oval to irregular, and when humidity is high, a grayish white mold layer forms on the surface of the diseased part.

The parts of plants attacked by anthracnose fungi include leaves, flowers, branches and fruits. On leaves, small chlorotic spots first appear at the leaf tip and leaf margin, then expand into semicircular, circular or irregular spots, and the affected tissue becomes yellowish brown or brown; later small black dots appear, which are fruiting bodies, sometimes arranged in concentric rings. In moist environments, dirty white dots and orange-yellow conidial masses form. As shown below:

Conditions for anthracnose occurrence: this disease is prone to occur and spread in high-humidity seasons.

2. Control of anthracnose in garden plants

(1) In the early stage of the disease, prune off diseased leaves and promptly burn dead branches and fallen leaves in green areas to prevent spread; do not plant too densely or place indoor flowers too densely, do not pour water directly over the top of indoor flowers, and always maintain ventilation and light. Clean the garden in winter and promptly burn diseased residues.

(2) Adopt scientific fertilization formulas and techniques, apply sufficient decomposed organic fertilizer, and increase phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to improve the disease resistance of garden plants.

(3) Before the disease occurs, spray protective agents, such as 80% mancozeb wettable powder (Dasheng) at 700 to 800 times dilution, or 1% half-strength Bordeaux mixture, or 75% chlorothalonil at 500 times dilution for control.

(4) During the disease period, promptly spray 75% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder at 1000 times dilution, or 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder at 600 times dilution, once every 10-plus days, for two to three consecutive times.

In the process of crop cultivation, giving priority to prevention is an effective means of preventing large-scale disease outbreaks. Sufficient daily nutrient supply keeps crops in an adequate nutritional environment, which can also enhance resistance to common diseases.
